Several months ago, 23-time slam queen and WTA icon Serena Williams – who is also a mother of two little angels – stunned the world with her unrecognizable look. She looked so fit that it seemed like she could be making a court return and swing her racket for a professional match. Stressing on her amazing body transformation, she confessed, “I feel really good and healthy. I feel light physically and light mentally.” And what better way to celebrate her newfound confidence than to be a part of a brand new campaign, spearheaded by none other than Kim Kardashian. The purpose is simple – “serve women who are redefining what it means to be an athlete today.”

Meet NikeSKIMS, a passion project by Kim Kardashian, who is also a fitness enthusiast. Designed to provide athletic wear, NikeSKIMS clothing line will offer women varied options according to their daily needs. The official account of Nike on September 22 introduced SKIMS with an exclusive advertisement clip headlined by former World No.1 Serena Williams. “Designed to sculpt. Engineered to perform. A new brand for those who refuse to compromise.” The products will hit the shelves from September 26.

Describing her latest campaign, Kardashian recently revealed, “Skims is very body-oriented—we do swimwear, loungewear, shapewear—so our next evolution was that we really wanted to do activewear.” Highlighting why she chose to work with Nike, she explained, “Their legacy, innovation, and athlete insights—it was the perfect thing to mix with Skims, and our dedication to the female form.” reported Vogue on September 22.

Further, she underlined how important it was for her to “bring our DNA into activewear. Our style lines are really clean and simplistic, and very true to the Skims style, with some square necks and thinner straps.”

So what’s the factor that separates SKIMS from other brands? According to the official description on Nike’s website, it’s the “new aesthetic and system of dress, obsessively crafted for the body, that goes from the studio to the gym and beyond.” And this approach comes from the newly released NikeSKIMS video, seen above, titled Bodies at Work.

It features more than 50 athletes from the Nike family, including the one and only Serena Williams. Speaking of whom, the former World No.1 looks absolutely stunning in the ad film. But do you know what really helped her to achieve the fitness goal? A game-changing medication that made her lose more than 30-Lbs. Seriously?

Serena Williams on how she lost 31-Lbs using weight-loss medication

During an interaction with People magazine last month, Serena Williams opened up on her weight loss journey. The result may look unbelievable but it wasn’t a smooth ride. However, using the GLP-1 medication made all the difference. So what is it?

For the uninitiated, she used GLP-1 drug, Zepbound, a type-2 diabetes medication. It is generally used by people to lose weight. She was introduced to it through the telehealth company Ro. Her husband Alexis Ohanian, is now an investor in this firm. Williams only went with this solution after seeing no result through her usual fitness routines. “My whole life is being in the gym, working out, running, training, HIIT training, dancing, every single thing you can think of. I would always get to a certain point on the scale, but I could never get below that.”

That’s when she decided to bring a transition in her life with GLP-1. Undoubtedly, she was doubtful, especially regarding her motherhood. And how this new medication could affect her bond with daughters Olympia and Adira. “I’m not saying any of this lightly, which is why it’s so important to have an honest conversation about this topic. I’m the mom of two girls, and I wanted to be very honest about what I’m doing so they can always be the same with me and we can have an open relationship.”

Now that she has successfully shed 31-Lbs, how does it feel like? Well, she couldn’t thank the medication enough. “GLP-1 helped me enhance everything that I was already doing — eating healthy and working out, whether it was as a professional athlete at the top level of tennis or just going to the gym every day.”

And just for those still doubting such methods, there have been other celebs as well who have taken the aid of a certain medication lately. Some of them include the likes NBA Hall of Famer and NBA on TNT host Charles Barkley. He was able to shed 60-Lbs using tirzepatide. Previously, even Oprah Winfrey admired the GLP-1 medication for a number of reasons. But what is your perspective and how do you see Serena’s approach to anti-diabetic medications?
