Sabalenka said, “I think it’s the first time that someone proposed during my match, and it was a very sweet moment. But I just trying not to start like smiling and, you know, because it’s very cute and I believe they’re super happy right now, you know. And I was just trying to keep like focusing on my game and it was a great moment. And as I said on court, I wish them happy marriage.”

But keep note that the No. 1 seed’s boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, was also present in the stands. So, the proposal inspired the reporter to ask if Aryna Sabalenka hoped that the moment gave Frangulis any ideas. Now, she had to get honest.
