Derrick Henry had a night to forget in Charm City. With the Ravens pushing late in the fourth, Henry coughed it up at the worst possible time. The Lions pounced on the loose ball, flipped the momentum, and turned it into three points. Suddenly, what looked like a comeback drive for Lamar Jackson ended with Baltimore chasing instead. But things got even worse on the sidelines.
Henry, clearly boiling, ripped off his helmet and spiked it so hard he lost his balance. He stumbled back onto the bench in pure frustration. That was his third fumble in three games, with two already lost. For a player known as reliable, that kind of slip-up is starting to put pressure.

Earlier in the night, Henry looked like his old self. He recorded a 28-yard touchdown in the first quarter and had Ravens fans buzzing. Yet after that burst, Detroit bottled him up. Still, the helmet toss showed just how much the mistake cut into him. And then they lost the game.
The Ravens have dropped to 1-2 after a loss to the Lions. And they have their next trip to Kansas City on the horizon in Week 4. So, all they need to work on is Baltimore’s defense, which was again overwhelmed as it surrendered 426 yards. Eventually, John Harbaugh‘s team lost to Dan Campbell‘s by 30-38.

However, coming back to Henry, he doesn’t usually show that side. He is still in class, as he outperformed Emmitt Smith. So, when it comes out, people take notice.
Fans keep talking about Derrick Henry’s mistake

As soon as the clip hit social media, Ravens Flock lit it up. The comments came fast, and they weren’t kind. One fan cracked, “He just fumbled himself to the bench lol,” while another added, “Derrick Henry after the fumble 😭.” It’s not often that Henry shows this kind of frustration, but two losses have fans watching every move. And when mistakes keep piling up, the noise only gets louder.
Henry was fighting for extra yards when Lions star Aiden Hutchinson punched the ball out. Detroit pounced, and the turnover shifted the momentum in Motown’s favor. That fumble was Henry’s third in three weeks, tying the longest streak of his career from 2022. Even worse, he’s already hit a new season-high with three fumbles lost. For a back once known as secure, the numbers aren’t trending well.

And fans, of course, kept piling on. One wrote, “Bro acts like he isnt used to that” while another joked, “He gone cry in the car fasho….” A third chimed in with, “He [is] an angry refrigerator.” The nicknames sting, but they also show how quickly fan patience can wear thin when the turnovers keep coming.
