Kyle and Samantha Busch have always doubled down on helping families through infertility, not just with words, but with real financial impact. In a joint Today Show interview in early 2025, Samantha revealed that through their Bundle of Joy Fund, the couple donated over $2 million to support couples undergoing IVF, and that more than 100 babies have been born thanks to those grants. That mission of support and financial assistance sets the stage for deeper personal connections.

In one instance, Samantha Busch shared in the Progyny podcast her story of opting for a gestational carrier when their family-building path shifted, and how that decision wasn’t easy. Her openness continues to serve the Bundle of Joy community by bringing often-hidden corners of fertility treatment into the light. And that transparency seems to lead naturally to Samantha taking on newer roles by formally stepping into her dream realm.

Kyle Busch and Samantha turn personal struggles into hope for families

In a recent Instagram post, Samantha Busch announced her new venture, writing, “BIG NEWS: I’m Officially a Certified Fertility Coach! This has been on my heart for so long.” This was the culmination of a public arc that has been visible for years. Samantha has moved from sharing a raw, personal infertility story in her book Fighting Infertility and an appearance on the Today Show to building concrete programs and public advocacy. The Fertility Coach Academy/Elizabeth King program that she trained with makes this credential very important for the couple’s Bundle of Joy Fund.

Reflecting on the motivation, she continued, “After walking through the heartbreak, the appointments, the waiting rooms, the tears, and the victories of infertility myself, I knew God was calling me to do more.” That line echoes comments she has made in long-form interviews, speaking openly about miscarriages, a failed surrogate cycle, and later success via gestational carrier. Both she and Kyle Busch have described concrete grant examples of how those clinic moments translated into their Fund’s criteria and partnerships with clinics such as REACH Fertility in Charlotte. That lived experience, she said, is the well she’ll draw from as a coach.

“I wanted to create a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported, whether you need a sounding board to vent to, guidance navigating the different pathways to parenthood, or just someone who gets it,” she wrote, and that mission already maps onto concrete projects she runs. The Bundle of Joy Fund’s grant program, her podcast Certified Oversharer, while also appearing on other podcasts like This is Infertility with Progyny, and public community events and Instagram Q&As, directs followers to clinic resources and grant applications.

She further continued, “Now that I’m certified, I’m excited to have another outlet to support women through their journeys. I’m currently digging into the best ways I can use this to serve and encourage you all, so stay tuned for what’s to come, and tune into my Stories to hear more about my journey.” With that, Samantha steps into a whole different role, as a mother, wife, entrepreneur, and now a certified health and fertility coach. But what makes this achievement worth even more is her consistent efforts to help the community.

Earlier this year, the 39-year-old also co-hosted the Fast Cars Guitars benefit to raise funds for Bundle of Joy, promoting the Lake Norman concert with Corey Kent and George Birge, whose proceeds went to IVF grants. In August, the Fund ran charity nights as part of its summer/fall outreach, as Samantha posted images on Instagram with the caption, “No shortage of laughs, great drinks, and jaw-dropping moments at @bundleofjoyfund first-ever Bundle of Laughs event! Huge thanks to @themagicofericeaton @mwr55 & @comedyzoneclt for an unforgettable show, and to all of our incredible sponsors for making it possible.” And the couple remains unstoppable in their journey of helping those in need.

Kyle Busch and Samantha laugh off border ordeal

On the latest episode of Certified Oversharer, Samantha Busch set the stage with a candid laugh: “We had a great trip and then Kyle got arrested in Mexico… and was in Mexican prison for 3 days.” The 2023 incident unfolded at Cancun Airport, when authorities found a handgun and ammo in Kyle’s luggage, a serious offense under Mexico’s strict firearm laws. Though he avoided a long-term sentence, the ordeal left fans stunned and the couple with a story few expected.

Kyle jumped in with one of the lighter details from his holding cell experience. “The lady that was next to me in the holding cell… also brought a gun into Mexico in her purse,” he explained. While officials haven’t released specifics about cellmates, U.S. Embassy warnings show this isn’t uncommon. Over 200 American tourists faced similar detentions in 2022 for forgetting firearms in their luggage. Busch’s humor shows how he turned a nerve-racking moment into a shared laugh.

The story ended on a sweet note, as Kyle recalled, “Her husband brought her breakfast, lunch and dinner. My wife brought me breakfast, lunch and dinner.” That support, he said, made all the difference during his three-day detention. Wrapping up, he revealed that “A guy I know at JGR… had a friend who went to Mexico who also brought a gun… They called me asking for tips to help him get out.” From panic to punchlines, the Busches have managed to reclaim the episode as a testament to resilience and family bond.
