Jordan Spieth may be on a break from competitive golf, but that hasn’t slowed him down. The three-time major champion is renowned for his mental endurance. But this season, he has faced many missed cuts, streaky putting, and uncharacteristic inconsistency. Adding to this is his break from golf. His last tournament was in August this season. Yet behind these numbers lies a whole different story. Recently, Spieth recently teased fans on Instagram with a three-word message.
On his recent Instagram story, Spieth revealed what he has been working on since his hiatus from golf, reminding everyone of his foundation’s flagship event, Spieth & Friends 2025: “Two-week countdown.”
The event is set for October 23 at Topgolf in The Colony, Texas. Hosted through the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation and sponsored by AT&T, along with many other organizations. The event aims to bring together athletes, entertainers, and donors for an evening of golf, community, and philanthropy.

The Spieth & Friends has evolved into an identity and is the cornerstone of Spieth’s charitable identity. This event supports the charity’s four key pillars: special needs youth, military families, junior golf, and pediatric cancer.

“If more kids get involved and keep pushing each other to play more holes, while also learning about philanthropy and integrity, I think we’ll surpass the $250,000 milestone this year. That’s what we’ll strive for year after year,” He added.
What began as a tribute to Spieth’s sister Ellie and her resilience has now evolved into one of the most respected philanthropic sports events, thanks to Jordan Spieth and the foundation’s effort.

Spieth has a heart for giving
Even while off the course, Spieth’s influence continues to grow. This year, Spieth & Friends 2025 will introduce collaborative initiatives designed to increase fundraising and redefine how athlete-led charities operate in golf. For Spieth, it’s about creating change beyond the ropes. This energy seems to be fueling him as much as any tournament ever could.
While fans may wonder if this signals a permanent shift from golf to philanthropy, it’s anything but. Spieth’s work with his foundation mirrors the same drive that once made him a dominant force on Tour.

Have an interesting take?
The wrist injury and missed cuts this season, including at the PGA Championship, have slowed him temporarily, but his flashes of brilliance, like his 9-under 62 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, remind everyone what he’s capable of.
For now, Spieth’s focus on giving back provides a meaningful break from competition. And when the lights fade on Spieth & Friends 2025, he may return to golf with renewed purpose, combining the same passion he has for philanthropy with the game he still loves.
